Case study · Content quality
Nothing ships unchecked.
A pre-deploy audit that reads every rendered page of a large travel site and blocks releases that add broken links, thin pages or unsupported claims.

The challenge
Fast growth.
Hidden errors.
Ross built and runs a travel discovery platform with thousands of pages: routes, airlines, airports and destinations. Much of it was built quickly with AI coding agents. Speed of building brought a familiar risk. Broken links, thin pages, placeholder content and prices typed in by hand could slip through unnoticed.
Search engines and travellers both judge a site by these details. The platform needed a way to find every such problem and stop new ones from going live.
The approach
Audit every page.
Gate every release.
At thousands of pages, quality cannot depend on someone remembering to check.
Read what users see.
Audit the rendered HTML of every prerendered page rather than the source code, so the checks match what visitors and crawlers receive.
Check what matters.
Flag broken internal links, orphan pages, thin pages, redirect chains, typed-in prices and claims without a source.
Set a baseline.
Save the current results and fail any release that makes them worse.
Fix the backlog.
Work the baseline down release by release until each check reaches zero or an agreed exception.
What changed
A cleaner site, kept clean.
The gate turned a large backlog of quality problems into numbers that only move in one direction.
- Broken internal links
- 638 → 0
- Thin pages in the sitemap
- 48 → 0
- Links through redirects
- 113 → 15
Invented content removed
Placeholder reviews and unsupported claims were found and taken out across dozens of pages.
Real data only
Pages showing typed-in prices fell from hundreds to a handful.
Safe releases
New work cannot reintroduce problems the gate has already fixed.
Ross’s role
Own product
Ross designed and built the audit and release gate as founder of the platform, directing AI coding agents and reviewing every rule.

A potential collaboration
Put a quality gate on your site.
For content-heavy travel and ecommerce sites where pages multiply faster than they can be checked by hand.
- A rendered-page audit tailored to your site.
- A release gate in your CI pipeline.
- A plan to clear the existing backlog.
