Case study · Metasearch partners
More partners. More bookings.
Growing an airline’s sales through metasearch partners such as Kayak, by improving fare feeds, landing pages and how partner traffic was measured.

The challenge
Partners send traffic.
The site must convert it.
A major Middle East low-cost carrier sold tickets through its own website, but much of its demand began on metasearch sites such as Kayak. Those partners could send large numbers of travellers. Whether those travellers booked depended on the airline: accurate prices, a fast landing page and a smooth path to payment.
Ross led this channel as the airline’s Senior Manager eCommerce, alongside his work on the airline’s site speed.
The approach
Better feeds.
Better landings.
Metasearch sales depend on accurate prices, fast landing pages and measurement the airline and partner both trust.
Check price accuracy.
Compare prices shown on partner sites with prices on the airline’s site, and fix the feed and caching issues behind mismatches.
Improve the landing.
Make sure partner traffic lands on a fast, relevant page with the selected fare ready to book.
Measure properly.
Track partner clicks through to completed bookings so spend and commercial terms can be judged on results.
Grow the channel.
Use the results to agree better placement and commercial terms with each partner.
What changed
A stronger partner channel.
Metasearch became a measurable, growing source of direct bookings.
Trusted prices
Fewer differences between partner and airline prices.
Better conversion
Partner traffic landed closer to the booking.
Clear reporting
Partner performance measured through to completed bookings.
This was employment at the airline, not Alpha Digital Group client work. The airline is not named.
